Today the only thing I read was my own writing. What I learned is that editing takes time, time that I don’t always have as a graduate student with deadlines that come in faster than I can write them in my planner. My goals for the future are to write more succinctly the during the draft stages so less editing needs to happen during the final days (hours?) before the deadline hits.
One weakness I am readily getting over is to include extraneous information. Is it necessary? Can it go in a footnote? Delete it and save a new draft. There was a time where all information was precious, now, information is limitless. RIP Works Consulted.
