A native to Sarasota, Natalya graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of South Florida. As she pursues a career in art conservation, her experience has led her to become the Artist Liaison for Ringling Underground, Assistant Art Conservator at Gulf Coast Art Conservation, volunteer at the Ringling Conservation Laboratory, and former director of the Centre Gallery in Tampa, FL.
Natalya is an active artist working in both 2D and 3D mediums, but her role in art community is that of an intermediary, where she works with the Ringling Museum in affording local, contemporary artists opportunities to exhibit innovating and provocative art in a museum environment. Her scholarly interests are rooted in the international humanitarian movement to safeguard cultural heritage. Through conservation, she aspires to dedicate her life to ensuring the safety of ethnographic materials under the threat of war, antique trafficking, and natural disasters.
